Reno

Every year since I started playing club when I was 12, we have gone to Reno for a super fun tournament! When I played I loved it, we would stay at a fun hotel and get to hang out with all my friends off the court. My family would always come and my mom, dad, and brothers always looked forward to it too, Reno is actually a pretty fun little city with lots to do! As I have grown up and became an adult coach (over 21) the Reno scene has definitely changed, but still been super fun with just a bad headache and not a very happy coach at 8am! Nevertheless, I always look forward to going. Well Reno as a mommy has definitely changed my experience A LOT! Of course for the better, but all the stuff we have to haul and the coming and going finding appropriate things to do and places to eat, and a changing station in a casino...ya right! But we make it work and for the past two seasons I have been fortunate enough to have my parents come along with me! My dad loves the Reno tournament and has loved to come ever since I played, he had a pretty long break in between then and now but he is eager to take any chance he can get to spend the whole weekend with his favorite little guy and his daughter of course! Last year Noah was just 8 months old and still breastfeeding while eating solids and a bit more dependent on mommy, but this year at 20 months he is ready to go! Momo and Papa kept him soooo busy and they had such a great time together while I was away coaching. We stayed at my favorite hotel Peppermill and had a beautiful room with two king beds and a huge bathroom and Noah did so well sleeping all night each night in his pack-n-play, he is such a big boy now! We had a lot of fun with him definitely the highlight was the pool and circus circus where Papa came out a winner in all 5 games he played...he should have hit the slot machines! So another year of fun in Reno so glad to share it with Noah and my parents again...and just think next year TWO babies....if mommy decides to coach.... how fun would that be!!! :)
