To celebrate my dad's actual 50th birthday we decided to join Uncle Anew and Auntie Ara on their annual trip to Half Moon Bay for the pumpkin festival. Well little were we told that really it is a people festival because that is all that we saw was a sea of people, it was PACKED! We left Vacaville at 7am and got their about an hour and a half later thinking we were making great time, um no. Everyone was thinking the same thing, parking was a nightmare, it was cold, there were a ton of cars, people, everywhere! This makes for a stressed out mommy of two with one who is too little to understand and another that is potty training and finding the nearest bathroom and avoiding all the rude people was crazy! But....on a good note besides all the people it was cute, and fun. My big boy had NO accidents, and he waited in every long bathroom line until it was his turn and went potty all day long like a pro! I was so shocked and happy, never even touched the 4 pairs of spare underwear and pants I brought just in case. The whole way up and back my kids were angels. How did I get so lucky?! The festival was pretty cool it had all sorts of different vendors, a parade, yummy pumpkin food, beer, and wine, I think it would be a fun thing to do once the kiddos are older and not potty training. My dad said he had a lot of fun just being with his family, and that he probably didn't need to go back, I agree!! We got back into town picked up daddy and headed over to a birthday party for our niece, stayed for a little bit and then it was off to Merchant & Main for a nice birthday dinner for Papa! I was nervous about the white table cloth, candle lit table with my two very tired kids but again they did soooo good! Sofia slept the whole time, and Noah was occupied with YouTube and his coloring app and of course his favorite Auntie Ara that he didn't cause me any trouble at all! What a busy day!! These 50th Birthday's seem to be going on forever...but my dad is the best and I was so happy to celebrate with him all weekend!
