Ordinary Day

Today was just one of those days that I love to have, sometimes I think I need to have more of them. Just a day to stay at home not really do much, but do enough to feel accomplished. Most our days are filled with play dates, running errands, cleaning, cooking, and chores where there is no time for just...nothing! I needed this day and told myself before baby #2 comes these days need to start happening more often, because it was just a perfect ordinary day. Noah and I had a nice breakfast together, watched some cartoons and then headed outside to play. I wanted to do some gardening in the front and had bought some flowers and bark to fill in a patch on our porch. Noah was trying to be a good helper and "dig dig" but some of my flowers suffered his digs. We drew with chalk and played with bubbles and his cars, he played on his slide and we even enjoyed a nice picnic lunch together outside. I let him play with the hose, which is his favorite my flowers also suffered from his watering skills but oh well, I just didn't let anything bother me they will grow back. He was having so much fun and it was so nice to just be with him and not have to worry about anything! I put him in the swing after lunch and he passed out right in the swing and took a fabulous nap, then daddy came home and I made a nice dinner! Such a perfect day.
