This weekend I had a two day volleyball tournament that seemed like it went on forever! This was just a fun tournament and does not count toward our overall seeding just something extra for the girls to play. We were seeded number 5 out of 140 teams, pretty good! We actually played really well the first day but did not end so well with the last team, who was seeded 48 and to keep our number 5 spot we needed to win. We are in the third game and things were getting a little tense I sort of lost my temper because the ref was not making the correct calls and the other team kept foot faulting on their serve!!! I could not take it anymore so at 12-12 I went off on the other coach asking him to help his girl who was doing lines, and the ref came over and got in my face and gave me a warning and then proceeded to keep arguing with me so I had to speak up and she gave me a yellow card and the other team got a point so now we are down 13-12! Luckily my girls pulled it off and we won...they all thought it was so cool that I got a yellow card, I however was embarrassed and would have been really mad if we lost!! But they need to know that it is not okay to cheat and not be fair with the rules. So we held our seed and Sunday we won all our games giving us a chance to play in the division championship game and if we won we got a free t-shirt. My girls were so excited and had been winning all day so they thought they had it in the bag, but of course we go out and SUCK they could not do anything, so we lost and were there all day for pretty much nothing!
I get home after an hour and a half of traffic at 6:30pm and my sweet baby missed his mommy so much he ran up to me and gave me the sweetest hug and kiss! My husband and my mom both agreed that next year might be a year I have to take off from coaching club since it does take up a lot of time and with a 2 year old and a baby it might be a little difficult to handle. It makes me a little sad to think I won't be coaching but I can never get this time back with my babies and I don't think anything can keep me away from them...so looks like this will be my last year of coaching club until my kids are a little bit older.
